Allie Crewe

A photographic artist, Allie Crewe is compelled to portray people who seek transformation. Reaching beyond the surface, her poignant portraits reveal a tender beauty. To her, photography is a poetic force, weaving together stories with a touch of magic, unveiling the inner landscapes of those she works with.

Holding a Master of Fine Arts in Photography, Allie Crewe is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society. A five time finalist and winner of Portrait of Britain and Portrait of Humanity awards by the British Journal of Photography, she regularly undertakes commissions for organisations that have included Arts Council England, The NHS and The Science Gallery, London.

Working collaboratively, Allie invites participants to shape their representation, striving to create a more authentic and empowering image. Tackling sometimes emotive subjects such as violence against women and girls, her immersive personal projects are driven by the conviction that art can provoke new thinking and drive positive change.

Exhibited in galleries across the UK including Ffotogallery Wales and Photo London, her work has been featured in The Guardian and Observer, The Telegraph Magazine, Vogue, and BBC News. Held in private collections, her photographs are available to buy . Allie welcomes commissions.
